I’m terribly bored, so I figured I’ll give you a tour of what I’m listening to at the moment.
The first song that has been constantly playing for me is “Black Stacey” by Saul Williams, but that is already under Tuesday School Days so we shall start with “Mother Mary” by Foxboro Hot Tubs.
Let me start off by saying I used to be a huge Greenday fan in their pre-American Idiot days. Then American Idiot came out and they kind of fell off my radar. But then when I heard they were coming out with an album under the name Foxboro Hot Tubs, I had to check it out. I must say, it is very unlike Greenday and I respect that a lot. This song is really catchy and shows a vocal range of Billie Joe Armstrong that ceased to exist before this.
Song number two is “Something New” by P Money. I must admit, I cannot understand a word he is saying. But have no fear, that is a damn good thing. I have no idea how this guy does it. He has an amazing flow and can rap with tons of precision and speed; a rare quality.
Next we have “Ecstasy Of Gold” which is a mash-up of Nas and Ennio Morricone. This song isn’t really new, I just found it while searching through Culture Bully’s archives. Nas is an amazing lyricist and with this beat, this track gives me goosebumps. The strings just make it so god damn epic! Possibly my favorite mash-up ever.

The next track I really have no idea what it is formally called. So, we shall leave it as “Face To Face (Chico Love Remix)” by those oh so wonderful robots. As if “Face To Face” wasn’t good enough for you, this remix made it a little better. Well not better, just busier. So enjoy this track of fire!

Next we have “Work To Do (Obama ’08)” by Kidz In The Hall. Kidz In The Hall is a rap duo consisting of one of my favorite up and coming Chi-town rappers, Naledge. Oh yeah, and some other dude who I believe is named Double O (sorry if incorrect). I am a big Obama fan and a big Naledge fan so what’s better?

Next to enter the ring of fantastic music is Kanye’s “Hey Mama” grammy performance. Technically it is titled “Hey Mama Grammy Remix (Studio Version).” I have a lot of respect for Kanye being able to hold himself together with such a heartfelt performance. What I don’t respect was his speech for rap album of the year. If you are arguing for them to turn the music off in respect of your mother, please take off your damn sunglasses. That and his comment about Common really set me off. But I still love Kanye and his passion and excellent music.

Next we have “Positive Tension (A Million Billion Remix) by the oh so amazing Bloc Party. I have no idea how long this track has been out for, but I just got it AKA NEW SHIT MUHFUCKASSSSS. Anyways, the original of this song makes me happy. But this remix makes me really happy because I like manic music. I like lots of stuff going on at once, therefore this track is awesome.

Last but not least, we have “100 Million” by Fully Fitted. Fully Fitted is possibly the hottest shit ever. I forgot who it consists of but I’m pretty sure there is a little bit of Spank Rock and a verse dropped by the boss himself, Rick Ross (as in 745 white on white thats fuckin Ross.) Anyways, although this is another hip-hop track with a Justice sample. This one is completely awesome. They re-work the beat and the raps are fire. Not saying Wale’s isn’t but some of the other Justice samples have sucked.I love you Wale.
Please enjoy all of these tracks.
